How to test a resistor using a DMM

As we all know that resistors are electronic components that has two led terminals and it function is to  makes currents to struggle before getting to another components in a circuit board. At the   process of the struggle   a  voltage drop occurs. The amount of current that will be able to pass  this process is been determine by the seize of the resistor.
This article will guide you on how to test a resistor.
Note: resistors don’t have positive or negative  terminal leds . in testing the resistor while the DMM Is on resistor {ohms} mode make sure that all source of current is turned off  if you are testing the one on a circuit board . while test on a circuit board its advisable to remove one of the resistors terminals In other to get accurate test measurement. If there is a large capacitor is on the circuit board fined a way to discharge the current before testing.resistors also have color codes.
1.     
  Connect the probes to the DMM { black to the common pot and the red probe to the  port  marked with the symbol of ohms as shown below.

2.       Turn your DMM dial setting to ohms symbol as shown below.

3.       Pick a resistor of any choice of yours then connect  one of the DMM probe to the led one of the resistor  the other probe to the led two of the resistor as shown below.
hold it for some seconds to get the exact reading , remove the probes connect it back then take the measurement  again in other to be sure.
